Under the leadership of Tigran Gabrielyan, Deputy Minister of Environment, a discussion was held on “Water Release from Lake Sevan for Irrigation”. Vahagn Gevorgyan, Chairman of the Water Committee, Levon Azizyan, Director of the "ArmHydromet" SNCO of the Ministry of Environment, representatives from the Ministry and the Water Committee participated in the discussion.
During the meeting, the level of reservoirs fullness in the RA was presented.
Timewise, the 2024 water release from Lake Sevan for irrigation is the latest release date of the last 13 years, which is an important indicator of reservoirs fullness.
The representatives of the ministry raised the question whether the reservoirs fullness was not a sufficient condition for not releasing water from the lake.
The Deputy Minister discussed issues related to the most joint and unified cooperation with his colleagues.
